Recently I made it into the MormonTimes.com Summer Showcase Finals.
It is more a social networking achievement than a musical one.
But there are several upsides to the competition. First it has forced me to put my music in front of a much larger audience and move beyond comfortably hiding my songs away as “something for another day.”
My biggest dilemma now is trying te decide what three songs to prepare for the live concert in nine days from now. I also am debating backup singer and perhaps some latin dancers for the song “The Only One.” Maybe that would be over-the-top.
